<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 5745 <br />APPROVAL OF ISSUES THE CITY COUNCIL INTENDS TO BRING <br />FORWARD FOR RESOLUTION <br />AND DISCUSSION WITH THE TRUNK HIGHWAY 10 INTERREGIONAL <br />MANAGEMENT TEAM <br />AND MN/DOT <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a final draft Interregional Corridor Management Plan: TH 24 <br />in Clear Lake to 1-35W has been completed; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said plan raises issues the City of Mounds View would like to <br />express, discuss, and find resolution for; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, THAT the Mounds View City Council <br />does hereby approve the following issues to be brought forward for resolution <br />and discussion with the Trunk Highway 10 Interregional Management Team and <br />Mn/DOT: <br /> <br />1. The Plan must include the construction of a noise wall along the entire <br />length in Mounds View. Without this, the City of Mounds View will not <br />support this study in any manner. <br /> <br />2. The City of Mounds View supports and encourages the extension of a <br />third eastbound lane in the area west of 1-35W in that it will require <br />Mn/DOT to construct the noise wall. <br /> <br />3. The City of Mounds View believes that there is a general lack of <br />foresight and long term planning associated with the development of the <br />plan. Examples are as follows: <br />· The plan calls for 8 lanes in the area where TH 10 intersects 1- <br />35W. Has there been any coordination with the 1-35W corridor <br />plan? How will these proposed lanes of traffic on TH 10 merge <br />into the lanes of 1-35W? The City holds a concern that the plan <br />will not work given the current and forecasted congestion on 1- <br />35W. <br />
