<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />ITEM 8.8 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 4199 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE REQUEST FOR USE OF <br />THE 1992 FUND CARRY-OVER AND A PORTION OF THE FUND BALANCE <br />FOR THE SUMMER OPERATION AT LAKESIDE PARK BEACH. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Lakeside Park beach water conditions are adequate for <br />swimming; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, swimming at Lakeside Park beach is a high demand summer <br />leisure activity; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, $2390.00 was carried over from the 1991 budget, and there is <br />a Fund Balance of $8,134.00 of which $3,129.13 is requested for use plus the $1,500 <br />budgeted by each community for a total budget request of $8,519.13 for the 1992 summer <br />operation cost of the Lakeside Park beach operation; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, adding the $2,390.00 carry-over and $3,129.13 from the Fund <br />Balance for the cost of lifeguards would extend the time that lifeguards are on duty to <br />Monday, June 22 through Friday, July 31 from 1:00 p.m - 7:00 p.m.; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the requested budget increase would not affect the General <br /> <br />Fund; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Spring Lake Park City Council as the partner in the joint <br />powers operation of Lakeside Park has approved the extended budget of $8,519.13 for <br />1992. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the <br />City of Mounds View approves the amendment to the Lakeside Park budget for the 1992 <br />operation of Lakeside Park beach including $1,500.00 contributed by each City <br />($3,000.00) and the addition of the 1991 carry-over of $2,390.17 and $3,129.13 of the <br />Fund Balance ending with a total budget of $8,519.13. <br /> <br />Presented this 9th day of March, 1992. <br /> <br />SEAL <br /> <br /> <br />(ArrEST) <br /> <br />Samantha Orduno, <br />
