" <br /> <br />~ RESOLUTION NO. 2569 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING POLICY ON THE PLACEMENT <br />OF PLANNING SIGNS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council during recent public <br />hearings on development proposals has received complaints <br />from residents about the timing and receipt of public <br />notification; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes that even with <br />its best efforts, publicity regarding development proposals <br />does not always reach all interested parties; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to do its utmost to <br />let interested residents know that a specific piece of <br />property is being considered for development. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council <br />of the City of Mounds View establishes the following policy <br />for the placement of planning signs. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />1. The City shall purchase and make available <br />2 foot x 4 foot metal signs bearing the following <br />message, <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />PLANNING ACTION CONSIDERED <br />ON THIS PROPERTY <br />FOR INFORMATION CALL 784-3055 <br /> <br />2. Upon making application to the City for the <br />approval of any planning actions required under <br />Chapter 40 of the Municipal Code, the property <br />owner shall obtain planning sign(s) and posts <br />from the City and place them in a clearly visible <br />location on all frontages abutting a public <br />right-of-way and no less than one per 500 feet of <br />frontage. <br /> <br />3. The property owner shall provide the City with a <br />$50.00 deposit for each sign to be refunded when <br />the sign and posts are returned in an undamaged <br />condition. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />4. The property owner shall place the signs as <br />required within 10 working days of making <br />application for planning action or all planning <br />action dates shall be rescheduled to allow <br />adequate public notification. <br />
