<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 4503 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />. COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A CONTRIBUTION TO THE <br />BUSINESS LANDFILL COALITION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View, together with the Mounds <br />View business community and Mounds View Area Business Association <br />is committed to a pUblic\private partnership in lobbying efforts to <br />reform federal and state Superfund legislation; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Business Landfill Coali tion has been formed, <br />composed of businesses and cities from Anoka and Ramsey Counties, <br />to begin a unified lobbying effort for Superfund reform; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View understands well the dramatic <br />impact that a Superfund landfill cleanup activity can have on the <br />financial viability of a community, for both residents and <br />businesses; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City wishes to formally declare its support of <br />the business lobbying effort; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City also wishes to participate in a joint <br />private/public partnership in the lobbying effort. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City council in and ( <br />for the City of Mounds View does hereby declare its support and <br />authorizes a contribution of $500 to the Business Landfill <br />Coalition to be funded out of the Contingency Fund, 100-4500-910- <br />000. <br /> <br />Adopted this 14th day of February, 1994. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> <br />( SEAL) <br />
