<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 4508 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPLICATION FOR RAMSEY COUNTY COMMUNITY <br />DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS TO ASSIST IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF A <br />LOW MODERATE SENIOR RENTAL HOUSING PROJECT IN MOUNDS VIEW <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City desires to provide assistance in a housing project which will <br />meet the growing demands in the community for low-moderate income rental housing <br />for seniors; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the project is within the City's Devetopment District NO.2 and Tax <br />Increment District NO.1 and is consistent with the City's Comprehensive Plan, the Five <br />Year Development Goal Plan and the FOCUS 2000 Community-wide Strategic Plan; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the project will provide direct and substantial benefits to the <br />community by providing affordable rental housing for over 150 senior citizens as wetl as <br />providing affordable home ownership opportunities foryoung families to purchase single <br />family homes vacated by seniors opting to reside in a quality housing development that <br />is near their families and friends. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the City Council in and for the City <br />of Mounds View does hereby authorize the City Administrator to make application to <br />Ramsey County for Community Development Block Grant funds for assistance with the <br />purchase of the land upon which an 80 unit low-moderate income senior housing <br />complex will be constructed within an existing Development District. <br /> <br />Adopted this 14th day of February, 1994. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> <br />(SEAL) <br />
