<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 3020 <br /> <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNlY OF RAMSEY <br />CIlY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> <br />RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING APRIL 26, 1990 AS "ARBOR DAY' AND <br />THE MONTH OF MAY AS "ARBOR MONTH" <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View has been recognized for <br />eight consecutive years as Tree City USA by the National Arbor Day <br />Foundation for its efforts in urban forestry; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, trees in Mounds View reduce cooling and heating <br />costs while moderating the temperature, clean the air, produce oxygen and <br />provide habitat for wildlife; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the citizens and school children of Mounds View will <br />be planting trees in Random and Greenfield Parks and along County Road <br />I; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, these Arbor Day trees will be dedicated to the re- <br />observance of "Earth Day"; and <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor of the City <br />of Mounds View does hereby proclaim April 26, 1990 as "Arbor Day". <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the month of May is hereby <br />proclaimed as "Arbor Month" and citizens are called upon to assist in the <br />planting of trees now for the use and enjoyment of present and future <br />generations. <br /> <br />Adopted this. :<;},./ day of April, 1990. <br /> <br />(SEAL) <br /> <br /> <br />ArrEST: <br />
