RESOLUTION 6823 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AUTHORIZING THE PREPARATION OF A PRELIMINARY FEASIBILITY <br />REPORT AND CONSULTANT SELECTION FOR THE 2007-2008 SREET AND <br />UTILITY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, on May 1, 2006, Staff presented the results of the <br />survey that was conducted on the six neighborhood project areas (A-F); and <br />WHEREAS, at this meeting, the City Council indicated that they <br />were not comfortable in moving forward with the Street and Utility Improvement <br />Program based on the limited responses and directed Staff to conduct an <br />additional survey; and <br />WHEREAS, on May 3, 2006, a supplemental survey was mailed <br />out, from which the City received 97 additional responses; and <br />WHEREAS, the first step in a public improvement process is the <br />preparation of a preliminary engineering report; and <br />WHEREAS, there are several engineering consultants within the <br />City's "consultant pool" from whom services could be obtained; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff recommends that the Council retain the services <br />the engineering firm of Bonestroo, Rosene, Anderlik, and Associates (BRAA) to <br />assist in the preparation of the preliminary engineering report and other aspects <br />of this project, as directed by City Council. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the <br />City of Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br />It is hereby authorized that the preliminary report for the 2007-2008 <br />Street and Utility Improvement Project be prepared. Said preliminary <br />report shall include an analysis as to whether the proposed <br />improvements are necessary, cost effective, and feasible. <br />2. The Neighborhood Project Areas will be studied, as part of the <br />preliminary report will include areas: X, X, and X, as indicated on the <br />current Street and Utility Improvement Program map. <br />City Council fo select Neighborhood Project Areas <br />3.
