RESOLUTION N0.6863 <br />• CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR TO ATTEND <br />THE NATOA CONFERENCE fN FLORIDA <br />WHEREAS, the City's adopted goals for the year include to "Improve <br />communications with the public" and to "Improve the effectiveness in delivery of <br />services"; and <br />WHEREAS, the adopted values of the City include "Professionalism - We <br />believe that continuous improvement is the mark of professionalism and are committed to <br />applying this principle to the services we offer and the development of our employees; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the City has recently hired a Communications Coordinator who will <br />benefit from continuing education opportunities offered by professional organizations <br />such as the National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors (NATOA), <br />and; <br />• WHEREAS, the expenses of a national conference are included in the 2006 <br />budget; and <br />WHEREAS, the NSCC/CTV15 has offered to pay the full tuition for the <br />conference in the amount of $495. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br />Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota that the City's Communications Coordinator, <br />Ms. Kimberly Blackford, is hereby authorized to attend the National Association of <br />Telecommunications Officers and Advisor's (NATOA) annual conference August 22-25, <br />2006 in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, provided that, direct City expenditures do not to <br />exceed the $1000 designated in the 2006 budget for said purpose. <br />Adopted this .26th day of June 2006. <br />. ~/ ~ \ <br />Rob arty, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />• /+J ` <br />Kurt Ulrich, City Administrator <br />(seal) <br />
