RESOLUTION NO. 8511 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> APPROVING THE HIRE OF JONATHAN SEVALD TO THE <br /> PLANNER POSITION <br /> WHEREAS, upon direction from the Mounds View City Council, the Planner position was <br /> advertised; and <br /> WHEREAS, thirty-one (31) applications were received for the position and seven (7) <br /> were chosen for interview; and <br /> WHEREAS, Jonathan Sevald's skills and experience were determined to most closely <br /> match the duties and responsibilities as outlined in the job description; and <br /> WHEREAS, Mr. Sevald would start at Step 3 of the Pay Scale at $28.91/hour; with an <br /> increase to Step 4 of the salary range (currently$30.51/hour)after one year of employment; and <br /> WHEREAS, all step wage increases are subject to satisfactory performance evaluations; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, background checks on Mr. Sevald are incomplete, and therefore, hiring <br /> would be contingent on satisfactory background checks; and <br /> WHEREAS, Mr. Sevald would begin employment on or about February 1, 2016. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council appoints <br /> Jonathan Sevald to the position of Planner in the Community Development Department, <br /> contingent on satisfactory background checks, with employment to commence on or about <br /> February 1, 2016. <br /> BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the City Council does hereby approve the hire of <br /> Jonathan Sevald to the full-time, exempt, non-union position of Planner at Step 3 of the pay <br /> scale (currently $28.91/hour). <br /> Ado ted this 25th day of January, 2016. <br /> fir, /,,,,,,,91, <br /> oe Flaherty, Mayor <br /> ATTEST: v`l-C/� ie/(A <br /> James Ericson, City Administrator <br /> (SEAL) <br />
