<br />RESOLUTION 6964 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION CANVASSING ELECTION RESULTS OF THE <br />2006 GENERAL ELECTION <br />WHEREAS, a general election was held November 7, 2006; and <br />WHEREAS, the results of this election are as follows: <br />MAYOR (2- year term) <br />Rob Marty 2790 <br />Barbara Thomas 1814 <br />Write-In Votes 22 <br />COUNCIL MEMBER (4-vear term) <br />Sherry Gunn 1616 <br />Herbert Zwirn 325 <br />Ken Glidden 1297 <br />AI Null 1722 <br />Carol A. Mueller 2280 <br />Stan Meyer 568 <br />Write-in Votes 55 <br />• CITY QUESTION (Charter Question) <br />Yes 3706 <br />No 1060 <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Rob Marty is being certified as being elected <br />to a two-year term as Mayor of the City of Mounds View; and that AI Hull and Carol A. Mueller are <br />being certified as being elected to four-year terms as City Council Members of the City of Mounds <br />View. <br />NOW, 13E IT FURTHER-RESOLVED, that the Charter Amendment Question is certified as <br />being passed, which adds new language to Chapter 7, Section 7.03 of the City Charter to limit <br />annual property taxes, levies and specified fees for City services to a maximum increase of 5%, or <br />the CPI (Consumer Price Index) plus 2%, whichever is less, and to restrict the ability of the City to <br />increase specified fund balances beyond set limits, with any increase in excess of these limits <br />being subject to voter approval. <br />Adopted this,~i"~fh day of,~ivembgr, 2006 <br />Rob M2lrty, Mayor <br />ATTEST: ~~~ ~ ` / <br />Kurt Ulrich, City Administrator <br />• (seal) <br />
