RESOLUTION 8519 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> APPROVING A REVISED JOB DESCRIPTION AND AUTHORIZATION TO ADVERTISE <br /> FOR A SEASONAL INTERN IN THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT <br /> WHEREAS, an engineering intern for the Public Works (PW) Department was first <br /> approved by the City Council in June 2006 in lieu of a seasonal maintenance worker to assist <br /> with the administrative/engineering staff; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Engineering/GIS Intern is a temporary, part-time seasonal position <br /> geared toward current or recent college students in a related field; and <br /> WHEREAS, Staff revised the job description by adding proficiency in ArcView, and <br /> changed the status to a non-union seasonal internship (part-time); and <br /> WHEREAS, the hourly rate for this position will be $11.75 in accordance with the 2016 <br /> Pay Plan; and <br /> WHEREAS, this position will start around mid-May and end in August, not to exceed 119 <br /> calendar days. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Mounds View City Council approves <br /> the proposed revisions to the attached job description, and authorizes the position to be <br /> advertised. <br /> Adopted this 8th day of February, 2016. <br /> i / <br /> e Flaherty, M. <br /> ATTEST: <br /> James Ericson, City Administrator <br /> (SEAL) <br />
