RESOLUTION NO. 8528 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CONSULTANT SERVICES IN ASSOCIATION <br /> WITH THE RECRUITMENT AND HIRING OF THE <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW CHIEF OF POLICE <br /> WHEREAS, on February 8, 2016, the City Council authorized the advertisement of <br /> the position of Police Chief; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes that consultant services will be required to <br /> assist staff with the recruitment and interviewing for this position; and, <br /> WHEREAS, staff has requested proposals from qualified executive search firms and <br /> is in receipt of responses from three such firms: Waters & Company, Setter&Associates <br /> and David Drown Associates. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Mounds View City Council <br /> authorizes the engagement of consultant services to assist staff in two phases, with costs <br /> not to exceed $9,000 for Phase 1 and $2,500 for Phase 2, fora total amount not to exceed <br /> $11,500. <br /> Adopted this 22nd day of February 2016. <br /> Joe Flaherty, Mayor <br /> AT TEST: <br /> _27"4/"k6 <br /> James Ericson, City Administrator <br /> (seal) <br />
