RESOLUTION NO. 7011 <br />• CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION GRANTING THE GREAT LAKES SHIPWRECK PRESERVATION <br />SOCIETY A ONE DAY PERMIT TO CONDUCT CHARITABLE GAMBLING AT THE <br />MERMAID ENTERAINMENT AND EVENT CENTER IN MOUNDS VIEW <br />WHEREAS, the Great Lakes Shipwreck Preservation Society has requested that the <br />Council allow them to conduct charitable gambling at The Mermaid Entertainment and <br />Event Center on February 17, 2007; and <br />WHEREAS, the Gambling Control Board requires that the local unit of government <br />(city of county) pass a resolution specifically approving or denying requests to conduct <br />charitable gambling; and <br />WHEREAS, the Great Lakes Shipwreck Preservation Society is in compliance with <br />all requirements of the Mounds View Municipal Code with regard to charitable gambling <br />regulations. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mounds View City Council does <br />hereby authorize the Great Lakes Shipwreck Preservation Society to conduct charitable <br />gambling at The Mermaid Entertainment and Event Center on February 17, 2007. <br />Adopted this 2nd day of January, 2007. <br />Rob arty, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />~~~~ <br />Kurt Ulrich, City Administrator <br />(seal) <br />• <br />
