RESOLUTION NO. 7023 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A DONATION FROM BETHLEHEM BAPTIST CHURCH <br />WHEREAS, Bethlehem Baptist Church has generously supported activities that have <br />benefited the citizens of Mounds View; and <br />WHEREAS, Bethlehem Baptist Church would like to cantinue that support by making a <br />contribution to the City of Mounds View of $13,265 to support the following activities: $2,040 to <br />continue funding the DARE program; $2,550 for Mounds View Community Center <br />improvements; $2,550 to support the STAND program and the SAIL. program for students <br />attending Edgewood Middle School; $1,530 to the City of Mounds View in support of the 2007 <br />Mounds View Festival in the Park; $2,550 to support the YMCA Y-Partner program at the <br />Mounds View Community Center for scholarships and program development; $2,045 to <br />Community Emergency Assistance Program (CEAP) to provide assistance to, and support of, <br />families in crisis in Northern Ramsey and Anoka Counties; and <br />WHEREAS, Bethlehem Baptist Church would also like to support activities that enhance <br />and improve the economic climate of the City of Maunds View; and <br />WHEREAS, Bethlehem Baptist Church would like to contribute $2,653 to the Mounds <br />View Economic Development Authority in support of activities that improve the economic <br />climate of Mounds View. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Mounds <br />View gratefully acknowledges the donation of $13,265 and $2,653 from Bethlehem Baptist <br />Church and authorizes staff to amend the 2007 Budget accordingly. <br />Adopted this 26`h day of February, 2007. <br />ATTEST: <br />i <br />Ro Marty, Mayor <br />(SEAL) <br />Kurt Uirich, City Administrator <br />• <br />
