<br />RESOLUTION 7027 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AWARDING THE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT FOR THE COUNTY ROAD 10 <br />TRAILWAY PROJECT: SEGMENTS 9&10 AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR <br />AND CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO EXECUTE SAID CONTRACT <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 7001 adopted by the City <br />Council on January 8, 2007, sealed bids were received on February 8, 2007, at <br />10:00 a.m. for the County Road 10 Trailway Project: Segments 9&10; and <br />WHEREAS, the low responsive bid was received from Jay Bros., <br />Incorporated with a Base Bid $455,270.71 for the County Road 10 Trailway <br />Project: Segments 9&10; and <br />WHEREAS, Jay Bros., Incorporated has been debarred by the <br />Minnesota Department of Administration; and <br />WHEREAS, being debarred by the Department of Administration <br />restricts Jay Bros., Incorporated from submitting bids for state projects; and <br />WHEREAS, Bid Alternate No. 1 was created pursuant to the City <br />Council motion made on January 22, 2007; and <br />WHEREAS, Bid Alternate No. 1 represents a deduction in the <br />project construction cost for the removal of the boardwalk bump out area. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the <br />City of Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br />That the Base Bid of Jay Bros. Incorporated in the amount of <br />$455,270.71 for the County Road 10 Trailway Project: Segments <br />9&10 is the lowest responsive and responsible bid. <br />2. That a contract to perform work according to the base bid is <br />awarded to Jay Bros. Incorporated. <br />3. Bid Alternate No. 1 of the removal of the boardwalk bump out <br />area is hereby approved. (remove bump out) <br />4. -The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and <br />directed to enter into a contract with said bidder. <br />• <br />
