RESOLUTION 7039 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PARTICIPATION OF THE SPRING LAKE <br />PARK FIRE DEPARTMENT, INC., IN COOPERATION WITH THE COON <br />RAPIDS AND FRIDLEY FIRE DEPARTMENTS, IN SUBMITTING A <br />PROPOSAL TO THE STATE OF MINNESOTA, DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC <br />SAFETY, DIVIS{ON OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT TO CONTINUE IN THE <br />ROLE OF ONE OF THE CHEMICAL ASSESSMENT TEAMS. <br />WHEREAS, the Spring Lake Park -Blaine -Mounds View Fire <br />Department has been an active member of the North Metro Chemical <br />Assessment Team, in conjunction with Coon Rapids and Fridley fire departments <br />since 1995; and <br />WHEREAS, the Administrator of the North Metro Chemical Assessment <br />Team will be Assistant Chief Harlan Lundstrom, Spring Lake Park -Blaine - <br />Mounds View Fire Department; and <br />WHEREAS, the Minnesota Department of Public Safety is soliciting <br />proposals for a new contract term starting on July 1, 2007; and <br />WHEREAS, participation by the Spring Lake Park -Blaine -Mounds <br />View Fire Department would be a continued benefit to the City of Mounds View. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mounds View City <br />Council does hereby direct the Spring Lake Park -Blaine -Mounds View Fire <br />Department to participate with the fire departments of Coon Rapids and Fridley in <br />submitting a proposal for a State Hazardous Materials Chemical Assessment <br />Team. <br />ATTEST: <br />Adopted t is 12th day of March, 2007. <br />G <br />RollMarty, Mayor `~ <br /><.~ ~ <br />Kurt Ulrich, City Administrator <br />(seal) <br />
