RESOLUTION NO. 8560 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> APPOINTMENT OF KATHRYN ANN SMITH <br /> TO THE POLICE CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION <br /> WHEREAS, Chapter 404 of the Mounds View City Municipal Code established the <br /> Mounds View Police Civil Service Commission; and <br /> WHEREAS, Section 404.01 of the above mentioned Chapter sets the method for <br /> the appointment of the Police Civil Service Commissioners; and <br /> WHEREAS, Section 404.01 states that Police Commissioners shall be appointed by <br /> the Mayor with the approval of a majority of the Council; and <br /> WHEREAS,there are two (2) vacant seats on the Police Civil Service Commission; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, Staff and the Mounds View City Council have reviewed the current <br /> application on file at the Mounds View City offices for this appointment, and has <br /> recommended for its approval of Kathryn Ann Smith for appointment to the Mounds View <br /> Police Civil Service Commission. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that a majority of the Mounds View City <br /> Council does hereby approve Kathryn Ann Smith to Police Civil Service Commission, <br /> effective June 1, 2016, with a term expiration of December 31, 2016. <br /> Adopted this 25th day of April, 2016. <br /> e Flaherty, Mayor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> 6\-2(/0/t/(,6,6 <br /> James Ericson, City Administrator <br /> (seal) <br />
