RESOLUTION 8564 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> APPROVING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT WITH LAMETTI & SONS, INC. FOR THE 2016 <br /> SANITARY SEWER SLIP LINING PROJECT <br /> WHEREAS, the municipal sanitary sewer system contains approximately 45 miles of trunk <br /> sewer that is predominately constructed during the 1960's and early 1970's using clay pipe; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the Public Works Department has an inspection and maintenance program that <br /> prioritizes sanitary sewer pipe segments as candidates for slip lining; and, <br /> WHEREAS, Public Works has prepared bidding documents in-house for use in public <br /> bidding to construct slip lining of the sanitary sewer pipe candidates; and, <br /> WHEREAS, City Council approved the plans and specifications and authorized the <br /> advertisement for bids on April 11, 2016 via Resolution 8546; and, <br /> WHEREAS, Lametti & Sons, Inc. from Hugo, Minnesota submitted the lowest bid of <br /> $162,851.00; and <br /> WHEREAS, City staff recommends approving a construction contract with Lametti & Sons, <br /> Inc. to perform the slip lining work. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, <br /> Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br /> 1. The bid proposal for $162,851.00 submitted by Lametti & Sons, Inc. from Hugo, Minnesota for <br /> the 2016 Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Project (City Project No. 2016-004) is hereby approved. <br /> 2. City Staff is authorized to prepare a construction contract agreement between the City of <br /> Mounds View and Lametti & Sons, Inc. for $162,851.00. <br /> 3. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed, for and on behalf of the <br /> City, to execute and enter into a construction contract agreement with Lametti & Sons, Inc. for <br /> said project at said price. <br /> 4.
