RESOLUTION NO. 8575 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING SEVERANCE PAYMENT TO <br /> POLICE CHIEF TOM KINNEY <br /> WHEREAS, Tom Kinney submitted his resignation and his last day of employment <br /> was April 29, 2016; and <br /> WHEREAS, the balance of accrued and unused sick leave time is 920.86 hours; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the balance of accrued and unused vacation is 353.06 hours; and <br /> WHEREAS, Tom Kinney's current rate of pay is $55.42 per hour; and <br /> WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 3.45 of the Mounds View Personnel <br /> Manual, the maximum potential payout of accrued/unused sick time will be 920.86 hours x <br /> 65% x his hourly rate of$55.42 = $33,172.20 into Tom Kinney's Retirement Health Savings <br /> Plan (RHSP); and <br /> WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 3.45 of the Mounds View Personnel <br /> Manual, the maximum potential payout of accrued/unused vacation time will be 353.06 <br /> hours x his hourly rate of $55.42 = $19,566.59 into Tom Kinney's Retirement Health <br /> Savings Plan (RHSP). <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council <br /> approves a one-time payout of sick time not to exceed $33,172.20 into Tom Kinney's <br /> RHSP in accordance with Section 3.45 of the Mounds View Personnel Manual. <br /> NOW, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council approves a <br /> one-time payout of vacation time not to exceed $19,566.59 into Tom Kinney's RHSP in <br /> accordance with Section 3.45 of the Mounds View Personnel Manual. <br /> Adopted this 9th day of May, 2016. <br /> oe Flahe •r <br /> ATTEST: <br /> :7,1mA_ <br /> J es Ericson, City Administrator <br /> (seal) <br />
