RESOLUTION 6670 <br />• CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF A SKIDSTEER FORK GRAPPLE <br />ATTACHMENT <br />WHEREAS, on September 21, 2005 the City sustained significant tree <br />damage from a storm; and <br />WHEREAS, the clean up plan included the Public Works Department <br />picking up the smaller debris piles north of County Road 10; and <br />WHEREAS, the City made arrangements with Tri City Bobcat, <br />Incorporated to rent the fork grapple with the option to purchase; and <br />WHEREAS, the rental rate of the fork grapple was $150.00 per day with a <br />total cost of $4,200 in rental fees and the purchase price including tax is <br />$2,667.93; and <br />WHEREAS, the funds for this purchase would be derived from the storm <br />damage clean up fund that was established (account 100-4380-3030-200); and <br />• WHEREAS, it is required by the City's purchasing policy that all non- <br />budgeted purchases over $2,500 must be approved by the City Council. <br />WHEREAS, the City Charter, Section 7.08 gives the City Council authority <br />to amend the budget by resolution. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mounds View City <br />Council does hereby approve the purchase of a skidsteer fork grapple <br />attachment from Tri State Bobcat, Incorporated in the amount of $2,667.93. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a storm damage <br />fund be established under the professional services account of the forestry <br />department of the general fund (100-4380-3030-200) and that appropriations in <br />the estimated amount of $100,000 be made available to this account for this <br />purchase and other storm damage obligations the City has encountered. <br />Adopted this 14th day of November 2005. <br />r <br />(ATTEST) ,v . ,~. <br />Rob arty, Mayor <br />(SEAL) <br />urt Ulrich, City Administrator <br />
