RESOLUTION NO. 66$7 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />.Adopting the 2006 Property Tax Levy <br />WHEREAS, the City Council conducted numerous meetings and made available detailed copies of <br />the proposed 2006 Budget; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in accordance with the State of Minnesota Truth <br />In Taxation requirements on the proposed 2006 Budget on December 5, 2005; and <br />WHEREAS, General Obligation Improvement Bonds of 2004 were issued and require a debt service <br />levy of $190,678 to be collected in 2006; and <br />WHEREAS, when the Fire Improvement Bonds of 1991 were issued, the City's 2006 debt service <br />payment was scheduled to be $76,545, however, due to changes in the allocation of costs between <br />participating cities, Mounds View's actua12006 debt service cost on said bonds will be $62,029; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Blaine has sold Equipment Certificates of Indebtedness, Series 2003A and <br />the City of Mounds View's share of the 2006 debt service payment will be $2,485. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View that <br />the following properly tax levy for 2006 is hereby approved: <br />General levy $3,506,997 <br />Fire Bonds of 1991 levy 62,029 <br />Fire Equipment Cert. of 2003 levy 2,485 <br />PERA rate increase levy 6,145 <br />Police Referendum net tax capacity levy 70,000 <br />Total General Fund 2006 property tax levy 3 47 656 <br />G.O. Improvement Bonds of 2004 debt service levy $190,678 <br />Total Debt Service property tax levy $? 90 <br />Total Property Tax Levy 3 838 334 <br />and the City Clerk-Administrator is hereby directed to notify Ramsey County and the State of <br />Minnesota of said 2006 property tax levy. <br />Said resolution was declared to have been duly passed and adopted this 12th day of December, 2005. <br />C~ <br />
