RESOLUTION 6692 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AUTHORIZING SEVERANCE PAYMENT FOR MARY BURG <br />WHEREAS, Mary Burg was laid off from her position as Golf Course Manager effective <br />November 10, 2005; and <br />WHEREAS, Resolution 6585 was passed on August 22, 2005, allowed payout of <br />vacation and sick leave in accordance with the current personnel policy, allowed accumulated <br />flex-time to be used by employees, and additional severance pay of one week per year of <br />service; and <br />WHEREAS, Section 4.35D states that an employee will be compensated for accrued <br />vacation time and 50°l0 of accrued sick leave upon separation; and <br />WHEREAS, the balance of accrued and unused vacation time is 231.79 hours; and <br />WHEREAS, the balance of accrued and unused sick leave time is 193.91 hours; and <br />WHEREAS, Mary Burg was with the City for two years, which authorizes her 2 weeks of <br />pay per Resolution 6585; and <br />WHEREAS, the maximum potential payout of vacation time will be 231.79 hours X <br />• $34.34 = $7,959.67 and the maximum payout of sick leave will be 193.91 hours X 50% X <br />$34.34 = $3,329.61, and additional maximum payout of 2 weeks for 2 years of service will be 80 <br />hours X $34.34 = $2,747.20 for a total of $14,036.48; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council approve a <br />one-time payout of accrued and unused vacation time in the amount not to exceed $7,959.67, a <br />50% of accrued and unused sick leave in an amount not to exceed $3,329.61, and maximum <br />payout of 2 weeks for 2 years of service with the city in an amount not to exceed $2,747.20 to <br />Mary Burg. <br />Adopted this 12th day of December, 2005. <br />~' <br />Rob arty, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />%, 'C <br />K rt Ulrich, City Administrator <br />(seal) <br />r~ <br />~~ <br />
