Resolution 5802 <br />Page 2 <br />• NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Mounds View City Council makes the <br />following findings regarding the possible adverse effects of this rezoning as required by the <br />Mounds View Zoning Code: <br />1. The Current zoning of the lots is R-1, Single Family Residential. The requested <br />zoning of the lot is R-2, Single & Two Family Residential. <br />• <br />2. According to the Comprehensive Plan, the parcel proposed to be rezoned is <br />currently designated Single Family Detached (SFD). The request to change the <br />property to Single Family Attached (SFA) would not be consistent with the <br />Comprehensive Plan. The City Council believes that the lot should continue to be <br />zoned R-1. <br />3. The area north of County Road I is dominated by single family dwellings; the <br />introduction of a twin home into this area would exacerbate traffic and congestion <br />issues. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, based upon the above findings <br />of fact, the information and documents regarding the rezoning proposal, the report drafted <br />by staff, and the testimony of the applicant provided at the public hearing, the Mounds <br />View City Council does hereby deny the rezoning request made by JoAnn Colleen. <br />Adopted this 12th day of December, 2005. <br />~~ <br />Rob arty, Mayor <br />Attest: _ C., <br />Kurt Ulrich, City Clerk/Administratar <br />(Seal) <br />r~ <br />~.~ <br />
