RESOLUTION 6716 CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW COUNTY OF RAR9SEY • STATE OF MINNESOTA AUTHORIZING THE PREPARATION OF A PRELIMINARY FEASIBILITY REPORT AND CONSULTANT SELECTION FOR THE COUNTY ROAD 10 TRAILWAY, LIGHTING, AND LANDSCAPE PROJECT WHEREAS, on January 3, 2006, the City Council indicated a desire to proceed with a trailway, lighting, and landscape project for the County Road 10; and WHEREAS, the City Council gave direction that the City should proceed with two segments of trailway along the County Road 10 corridor 1.) The segment on the north side in between County Road H and Silver Lake Road and 2.) The segment on the south side in between Long Lake Road and Silver Lake Road; and WHEREAS, there are several engineering consultants within the City's "consultant pool" from whom services could be obtained; and WHEREAS, Staff recommends that the Council retain the services of the engineering firm of Bonestroo, Rosene, Anderlik, and Associates (BRAA) to assist in the preparation of the preliminary engineering report and other aspects of this project. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of • Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: 1. It is hereby authorized that the preliminary report for the County Road 10 Trailway, Lighting, and Landscaping Project be prepared. Said preliminary report shall include an analysis as to whether the proposed improvements are necessary, cost effective, and feasible. 2. The services of the engineering firm of Bonestroo, Rosene, Anderlik, and Associates (BRAA) shall be retained to assist in the preparation of the preliminary engineering report and other aspects of this project, as directed by City Council 3. The cost of the feasibility reports is to be derived from the City's Economic Development Fund (Account 230-4650-5220).
