RESOLUTION 8596 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> A RESOLUTION EXEMPTING ADJOINING PROPERTY OWNERS <br /> AND OCCUPANTS FROM MINNESOTA STATUTES CHAPTER 344 <br /> WHEN THEIR LAND CONSIDERED TOGETHER IS UNDER 20 ACRES <br /> WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes Section 344.011 permits statutory and home- <br /> rule charter city councils to, by resolution, exempt adjoining property owners or <br /> occupants from Chapter 344 when their land considered together is less than 20 acres; <br /> and, <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View regulates fences pursuant to its Zoning <br /> Code, in Section 1103.08; and, <br /> WHEREAS, fences within the City are more appropriately regulated by the <br /> Zoning Code rather than by Minnesota Statutes Chapter 344. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Mounds View, <br /> Minnesota, hereby exempts adjoining property owners and occupants from Minnesota <br /> Statutes Chapter 344 when their land considered together is less than 20 acres. <br /> ADOPTED on this 13th day of June, 2016. <br /> i <br /> Jae F aherty, (may: <br /> ATTEST: <br /> Jars Ericson, City Administrator <br /> (seal) <br />
