RESOLUTION 8584 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> APPROVE REPLACEMENT OF MOUNDS VIEW COMMUNITY CENTER SIGN AND ORDER <br /> IMPROVEMENT <br /> WHEREAS, the Mounds View Community Center has an existing unlighted and <br /> obscured sign which is difficult for the public to see; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the 2016 Special Project Fund has $40,000 allocated for the replacement of <br /> the Mounds View Community Center sign; and, <br /> WHEREAS, seven quotes have been obtained for replacing the existing sign along with <br /> an electrical quote to power the new sign; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the new sign would provide for a minimum for four sign spaces; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the estimated cost for replacement is within the existing budget. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, <br /> Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br /> 1. The Mounds View Community Center sign replacement is awarded to Lawrence Sign <br /> of St. Paul and selects Option 1 in the amount of$31,999.00 <br /> 2. The electrical service connection is awarded to Muska Electric in the amount of <br /> $4,045.00. <br /> 3. Funding for the project shall be from the Special Projects Fund (480-4180-7050) for <br /> a construction amount not to exceed $37,846.20, which includes a 5% contingency <br /> of$1,802.20 for minor work associated with project unknowns. <br /> 4.
