RESOLUTION 6765 <br />• CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AUTHORIZING SEVERANCE PAYMENT FOR DAVE PARKER <br />WHEREAS, Dave Parker was laid off from his position as Golf Course Equipment <br />Manager effective November 10, 2005; and <br />WHEREAS, Resolution 6585 was passed on August 22, 2005, allowed payout of <br />vacation and sick leave in accordance with the current personnel policy, allowed accumulated <br />flex-time to be used by employees, and additional severance pay of one week per year of <br />service; and <br />WHEREAS, Section 4.35D states that an employee will be compensated for accrued <br />vacation time and 50% of accrued sick leave upon separation; and <br />WHEREAS, the balance of accrued and unused vacation time is 252.96 hours; and <br />WHEREAS, the balance of accrued and unused sick leave time is 353.72 hours; and <br />WHEREAS, Dave Parker was with the City for three years, which authorizes him three <br />weeks of pay per Resolution 6585; and <br />• WHEREAS, the maximum potential payout of vacation time will be 252.96 hours X <br />$21.86 = $5,529.71 and the maximum payout of sick leave will be 353.72 hours X 50% X <br />$21.86 = $3,866.16, and an additional maximum payout of 3 weeks for 3 years of service will be <br />120 hours X $21.86 = $2,623.20 for a total of $12,019.07; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council approve a <br />one-time payout of accrued and unused vacation time in the amount not to exceed $5,529.71, a <br />50% of accrued and unused sick leave in an amount not to exceed $3,866.16, and maximum <br />payout of 3 weeks for 3 years of service with the city in an amount not to exceed $2,623.20 to <br />Dave Parker. <br />Adopted this 13th day of March, 2006. <br />Rob Marty, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />~`~~~ ' <br />Kurt Ulrich, City Administrator <br />(seal) <br />
