• RESOLUTION 6770 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF A REPLACEMENT MOWER FOR THE <br />PARKS DIVISION <br />WHEREAS, the City Council had previously approved the purchase of a <br />2001 Toro 580D mower; and <br />WHEREAS, said mower has been in use for five years and has reached <br />its economical useful life; and <br />WHEREAS, said mower has a the trade in value of $10,000.00; and <br />WHEREAS, $82,000 has been budgeted in the Parks Division 2006 <br />budget (100-4360-7030) for the replacement of the 2001 Toro 580D mower; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff has performed an extensive study and evaluation of <br />mowers that are designed to meet our needs; and <br />• WHEREAS, the Jacobsen HR9016 has proven to be safe, dependable <br />and user friendly; and <br />WHEREAS, said mower would be purchased under state contract, thus <br />foregoing the requirement to acquire additional bids. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, THAT the Mounds View City <br />Council does hereby approve the purchase of a Jacobsen HR9016 under state <br />contract in the amount of 69,700.00 and approve the trade in of the 2001 Toro <br />580D at a credited value of 10,000.00.
