Knowledge of police principles, practices, procedures, purposes, tools, techniques, and equipment, <br />especially as applicable to duties of assignments. <br />2. Knowledge of relevant laws, rules, and regulations. <br />3. Skill in the use of firearms and vehicles. <br />4. Ability to apply police principles, practices, and procedures to solve police problems. <br />5. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. <br />6. Ability to meet and deal with the public tactfully, with courtesy, or, when the occasion demands, with <br />firmness. <br />7. Ability to withstand adverse weather conditions. <br />MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS <br />1. Receive a passing score on written police test. <br />2. US citizen. <br />3. Valid Minnesota driver's license with good driving record. <br />4. POST Board licensed or eligible to be licensed. <br />DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS • <br />1. One year of experience in law enforcement, either a sworn, non-sworn, or volunteer position. <br />2.
