RESOLUTION 7055 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />APPROVING THE CONTRACTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE 2007 TREE <br />REMOVAL AND TREE TRIMMING PROGRAMS <br />WHEREAS, annually quotes are received to perform tree removal and <br />tree trimming services to be done as part of the Joint Powers Agreement the City <br />of Mounds View has with the City of New Brighton; and <br />WHEREAS, these services were budgeted for in 2007; and <br />WHEREAS, there were four companies that submitted tree removal <br />quotes for trees with no vehicle access; and <br />WHEREAS, the low quotes were submitted by Minnesota Tree Surgeons <br />for the trees up to 28.5 inches in diameter, and Upper Cut Tree for larger trees <br />with a diameter greater than 28.5 inches; and <br />WHEREAS, 4 Seasons Tree Care has agreed to renew their contract for <br />2007 with no increase in their unit prices for removal of trees with vehicle access; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Quotes were accepted for boulevard and park tree trimming <br />from two companies; and <br />WHEREAS, 4 Seasons Tree Care submitted the low tree trimming quote <br />at $125.00 per hour for two workers, boom truck, and chipping truck. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br />Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br />That a contract with Minnesota Tree Surgeons for the removal of <br />trees up to 28.5 inches in diameter with no vehicle access is hereby <br />awarded. <br />2. That a contract with Upper Cut Tree for the removal of trees with a <br />diameter greater than 28.5 inches with no vehicle access is hereby <br />awarded. <br />3. That a contract with 4 Seasons Tree Care for the removal of trees <br />with vehicle access is hereby renewed. <br />
