RESOLUTION 7053 CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA HOLDING A PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT HEARING AND ORDERING THE PROJECT AND APPROVING THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING THE ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS AND SETTING A BID DATE FOR THE OAKWOOD PARK IMPROVEMENT PROJECT -PHASE 1 WHEREAS, activities associated with for the Oakwood Park Improvement Project -Phase 1 will include the removal of the current baseball field including ag-lime infield and fencing, re-grading of the site, installation of an irrigation system, and re-establishment of turf; and WHEREAS, the purpose of the public improvement hearing is to provide interested parties an opportunity to learn mare about the proposed improvements and to comment on them; and WHEREAS, should the Council wish to proceed with this project, the next step in the public improvement process is to order the project; and and WHEREAS, plans and specifications for this project have been prepared; WHEREAS, as per state statute, with an estimated contract amount in excess of $50,000, publication must be made at ten (10) days before the last day to submit bids; and WHEREAS, an April 9, 2007, 10:00 a.m. bid date will provide ample time to provide the required notification to contractors as per state statute. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View,- Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: That the Oakwood Park Improvement Project -Phase 1 is hereby ordered and shall hereafter be known and referred to as the Oakwood Park Improvement Project -Phase 1. Said ordering of the improvements shall be valid for a period of eighteen (18) months from the date of adoption of this resolution. 2. The cost of said improvements shall be financed via funds derived from the City's Park Dedication Fund (Account: 251-4470-7050- 084).
