RESOLUTION 7072 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AUTHORIZING THE PREPARATION OF A JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT <br />AND SETTING A PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT HEARING DATE FOR THE 2007 . <br />SEAL COAT PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, on April 9, 2007 the City Council approved Resolution 7065 <br />authorizing the preparation of a preliminary feasibility report and the selection of <br />a consultant for the 2007 Seal Coat Project; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff introduced the concept of partnering with the City of <br />Spring Lake Park as a way to reduce the administrative costs and perhaps <br />received more favorable bids; and <br />WHEREAS, to facilitate the partnering with the City of Spring Lake Park <br />on this project, Staff recommends that a Joint Powers Agreement be created; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, a Public Improvement Hearing is required by State Statute for <br />this project; and <br />WHEREAS, a Public Improvement Hearing would allow the public to learn <br />about the proposed project and provide comments; and <br />WHEREAS, a Public Improvement Hearing date of May 14, 2007, will <br />afford the necessary time to publish legal notices. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br />Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br />1. Sets a public improvement hearing date for said project for 7:10 pm on <br />May 14, 2006 at Mounds View City Hall. <br />2. Authorizes legal notices for said public improvement hearing to be <br />published. <br />3. The preparation of a Joint Powers Agreement with the City of Spring <br />Lake Park for the 2007 Seal Coat Project is hereby authorized. <br />
