RESOLUTION 8606 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> APPROVE CONTRACT WITH AMERICAN ENGINEERING TESTING, INC. TO PROVIDE <br /> ASBESTOS AND REGULATED WASTE INSPECTION AT THE PUBLIC WORKS FACILITY <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View is designing a new Public Works Facility to replace <br /> the existing facility; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the new facility will require the demolition of the existing facility; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the existing facility was built in an era where the possibility of regulated <br /> materials such as asbestos and lead were likely used in the construction; and, <br /> WHEREAS, these materials require special demolition techniques and disposal; and, <br /> WHEREAS, an inventory to identify and quantify these materials prior to demolition will <br /> allow for a timely disposal plan to be developed. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, <br /> Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br /> 1. American Engineering Testing, Inc. is authorized to perform asbestos and regulated <br /> waste inspection at the Public Works Facility. <br /> 2.
