RESOLUTION 8607 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> APPROVE CONTRACT WITH WSB &ASSOCIATES, INC. TO PROVIDE GEOTECHNICAL <br /> SERVICES RELATED TO THE PUBLIC WORKS FACILITY <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View is designing a new Public Works Facility; and, <br /> WHEREAS, there is a need to investigate the geotechnical characteristics of the planned Public <br /> Works Facility site; and, <br /> WHEREAS, four firms provided proposals for geotechnical services; and, <br /> WHEREAS, WSB & Associates, Inc.'s proposal was determined to provide the best value for the <br /> design of the Public Works Facility; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the City Engineer recommends that WSB & Associates, Inc.'s proposal be accepted <br /> to provide geotechnical services related to the Public Works Facility. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, Ramsey <br /> County, Minnesota as follows: <br /> 1. WSB and Associates, Inc. is authorized to perform geotechnical services related to the Public <br /> Works Facility in the amount of$6,875.00. <br /> 2. The Director of Public Works is authorized to make approvals related to contract modifications <br /> during the workup to a total of$135 (2% contingency) on behalf of the City Council. <br /> 3. Funding for the contract shall be from the Special Projects Fund (480-4180-7050) for a <br /> amount not to exceed $7,010.00, which includes a 2% contingency of$135.00 for minor work <br /> associated with project unknowns. <br /> 4. The Mayor and City Administrator are authorized to execute all appropriate documents and <br /> enter into a professional services agreement, for and on behalf of the City, with WSB & <br /> Associates, Inc. to effectuate the actions contemplated by this Resolution. <br /> Adopted this 25th day of July 2016. <br /> Joe Flaherty, Mayor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> �a>4 <br /> Ja s Ericson, City Administrator <br /> (SEAL) <br />
