RESOLUTION NO. 8613 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> APPROVE REPLACEMENT OF TWO EXISTING HYDRANTS ON COUNTY ROAD H IN <br /> CONJUNCTION WITH RAMSEY COUNTY'S PROJECT <br /> WHEREAS, the intersection of Mounds View Boulevard and County Road H is being <br /> reconstructed by Ramsey County; and <br /> WHEREAS, two City of Mounds View hydrants need to be relocated due to the <br /> construction; and <br /> WHEREAS, Public Works recommends that the existing hydrants be replaced with new <br /> hydrants due to their age; and <br /> WHEREAS, Ferguson Waterworks has provide a material quote for new hydrants, pipe, <br /> valves and fittings of $11,111.51; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the Water Fund 2016 budget has $15,000.00 for gate valve replacement <br /> which can be used for funding this need. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, <br /> Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br /> 1. The quote from Ferguson Waterworks for material is accepted in the amount of <br /> $11,111.51 for providing two new hydrants, pipe, valves and fittings. <br /> 2. A contingency in the amount of$1,111.00 (10%) is approved for unforeseen conditions <br /> during the replacement of the hydrants. <br /> 3.
