RESOLUTION NO. 8619 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF TWO SCHOOL ZONE RADAR <br /> SIGNS <br /> WHEREAS, the Mounds View Police Department is responsible for the safety of <br /> the general public including pedestrians; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Mounds View City Council approved the budgeted amount of <br /> $15,000.00 for the purchase of two school zone radar signs for County Road I, <br /> ( Pinewood School ); and <br /> WHEREAS, the current signs are static and do not illuminate to warn drivers; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the Police Department received three quotes for the signs and the <br /> lowest quote was in the amount $ 11,425.25 from TAPCO with an installation cost of <br /> $4,800.00 by Safety Signs which will be paid for by the Mounds View School District; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, TAPCO has a local representative to assist with any issues that may <br /> arise. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br /> Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota, to authorize the purchase of two school <br /> zone radar signs from TAPCO for the amount of $11,425.25, from account number 225- <br /> 4200-7030, and the installation of the signs by Safety Signs in the amount of $4,800.00, <br /> with said amount being reimbursed back to the City from the Mounds View School <br /> District. <br /> Adopted this 22nd day of August, 2016. <br /> ,toe Flahe Mayor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> James Ericson, City Administrator <br /> (seal) <br />
