RESOLUTION NO. 8626 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> APPROVING A JOB DESCRIPTION <br /> AND AUTHORIZATION TO ADVERTISE <br /> FOR THE <br /> COMMUNITY SERVICE OFFICER (CSO) POSITION <br /> WHEREAS, during the September Work Session, it was the consensus of the City <br /> Council to revise the Public Service Officer(PSO) position to a Community Service Officer <br /> (CSO) Position; <br /> WHEREAS, while the PSO position has similar services as the CSO, it is the <br /> intention of the Mounds View Police Department to mentor and prepare the person as a <br /> potential police officer candidate; and <br /> WHEREAS, the person who had been serving as the City's PSO has resigned and <br /> taken a job in a different community; and <br /> WHEREAS, during the September Work Session the City Council reviewed the CSO <br /> job description and it was the consensus of the Council to move forward with approval of <br /> the job description and starting of the hiring process. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds <br /> View, Ramsey County, Minnesota, to approve the job description for Community Service <br /> Officer (CSO) and advertise for the position. <br /> Adopted this 12th day of September, 2016. <br /> -doe Flaherty, ayor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> oi.i-v e� tQ Q <br /> James Ericson, City Administrator <br /> (seal) <br />
