RESOLUTION NO. 8627 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> APPROVING THE HIRING OF MARGARET HICKS TO THE POSITION OF <br /> POLICE RECORDS/EVIDENCE TECHNICIAN <br /> WHEREAS, the Police Records/Evidence Technician position will become vacant <br /> due to the retirement of Kathy Bednar on September 30, 2016; and <br /> WHEREAS, the candidates were evaluated on training and experience, an oral <br /> interview and a complete background investigation; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Police Civil Service Commission certified the top three names on <br /> the eligibility list and recommended candidate Margaret Hicks be hired as the Police <br /> Records/Evidence Technician; and <br /> WHEREAS, staff on the police department, including the Police Chief, have met with <br /> Margaret Hicks and recommend that she be appointed to the position of Police <br /> Records/Evidence Technician. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds <br /> View, Ramsey County, Minnesota to approve the hiring of Margaret Hicks to the position of <br /> Police Records/Evidence Technician at step 4 starting wage of $23.33/hour (2016 rate) <br /> with an effective date on or about September 27, 2016. <br /> Adopted this 12th day of September, 2016. <br /> Joe Flaherty, Mayor <br /> ATTEST: �J C(JY�'LQ,� ,v-tios191/1, <br /> James Ericson, City Administrator <br /> (seal) <br />
