RESOLUTION NO. 8629 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO APPROVE A <br /> CONTRACT WITH STANTEC TO COMPLETE MAP WORK FOR THE 2018 <br /> COMPREHENSIVE PLAN UPDATE <br /> WHEREAS, MN Statute §462.357, Subd 2 authorizes municipalities to adopt a <br /> land use plan (Comprehensive Plan) containing objectives, policies, standards, and <br /> programs to guide public and private land use, development, redevelopment and <br /> preservation for all lands and waters within the City's jurisdiction, as described in MN <br /> Statute §473.859; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the Comprehensive Plan shall be updated and reviewed by the <br /> Metropolitan Council every ten years as required under MN Statute §473.864, Subd 2, <br /> with the current update to be submitted for review by December 31, 2018; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council has provided the City with a "Checklist of <br /> Minimum Requirements for Mounds View", including required information to be <br /> displayed through maps and tables; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the City solicited proposals from six consulting firms to complete this <br /> work, and to provide an hourly fee to complete additional work if needed; and, <br /> WHEREAS, Staff has reviewed the four proposals received, and contacted <br /> references of the two firms with the lowest cost proposals; and recommends Stantec; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Mayor and City Administrator <br /> are authorized to execute all appropriate documents and enter into a professional <br /> services agreement, for and on behalf of the City, with Stantec, to effectuate the actions <br /> contemplated by this Resolution. <br /> Adopted this 26th day of September 2016. <br /> .e Flahe ' .
