RESOLUTION NO. 8633 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> APPOINTING BENJAMIN KNITTER TO THE POSITION OF POLICE SERGEANT <br /> WHEREAS, three applicants submitted information for the position of Police <br /> Sergeant and all went through a scored promotion process approved by the Mounds View <br /> Police Civil Service Commission, and; <br /> WHEREAS, the Police Civil Service Commission certified the candidates from the <br /> three applicants, with the top candidate being Benjamin Knitter and; <br /> WHEREAS, the Chief of Police has met with Mr. Knitter and recommends he be <br /> appointed to the position of Police Sergeant. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds <br /> View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: Benjamin Knitter be appointed to the position <br /> of Police Sergeant, effective September 27, 2016, at the step 3 rate of pay ($37.99/hour) <br /> as stipulated in the LELS Sergeants Labor Contract for the position, with a progression to <br /> the other wage steps in accordance to the LELS Sergeants Labor Contract. <br /> Adopted this 26th day of September, 2016. <br /> .e Flaherty, Mayor <br /> ATTEST: - G_ <br /> _ James Ericson, City Administrator <br /> • <br /> .(-.eaI) <br />
