RESOLUTION 8750 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />APPROVING BIDDING DOCUMENTS AND AUTHORIZING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR <br />MILL AND OVERLAY OF THE CITY HALL AND COMMUNITY CENTER PARKING LOTS <br />WHEREAS, the City has a pavement management program that includes city streets, trails, <br />and parking lots; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Hall and Community Center parking lots were fog sealed in October 2014 <br />and have since shown signs of distress due to potholes, cracks, and general deterioration and a mill <br />and bituminous overlay is recommended; and <br />WHEREAS, Public Works staff has prepared bidding documents in-house for public bidding to <br />perform the mill and overlay; and, <br />WHEREAS, the 2017 budget includes funding in the amount of $150,000 for the completion of <br />this project. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, <br />Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br />1. The bidding documents prepared by Public Works staff for mill and bituminous overlay of the City <br />Hall and Community Center parking lots (City Project No. 2017-009) are hereby approved. <br />2. City staff is hereby directed to cause to be published in the Sun -Focus newspaper and the online <br />bid management system Quest Construction Data Network, at least 10 days before the last day to <br />submit bids, a notice to bidders for the implementation of said project as required by law. <br />3. The time and date for receipt of public bids for said project is hereby established as 2:00 p.m., <br />Tuesday, May 23, 2017, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Council <br />Chambers of the Mounds View City Hall. <br />4. The Director of Public Works is authorized to make approvals related to any amendments to <br />Bidding Documents, including the time and date bids are due, on behalf of the City. <br />Adopted this 24th day of April, 2017 <br />W <br />ei,"4av- <br />Carol A.
