RESOLUTION 8754 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> RESOLUTION TO APPROVE THE <br /> FACILITIES MAINTENANCE/BUILDING CUSTODIAN <br /> JOB DESCRIPTION <br /> WHEREAS, due to the resignation of the Community Center Custodian, Staff <br /> reviewed the job description, and made revisions to better align with the City's current <br /> needs; and, <br /> WHEREAS, during the May Work Session, it was the consensus of the City <br /> Council to proceed in revising the job description with the current Community Center <br /> Custodian pay scale, and start the hiring process; and <br /> WHEREAS, Staff further researched the position, and found this position to <br /> appear over compensated as it relates to past compensation studies, pay equity <br /> reports, and HAY point system; and, <br /> WHEREAS, it's Staff's recommendation to approve the new job description and <br /> start the process of a HAY point analysis and salary study before proceeding with the <br /> hiring process; and <br /> WHEREAS, Staff will share the results of the study, and request approval to <br /> proceed with the hiring process at a future City Council Meeting; and <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, THAT the Mounds View City Council <br /> does hereby approve the attached Facilities Maintenance/Building Custodian job <br /> description. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, THAT the Mounds View <br /> City Council does hereby approve a HAY point and salary compensation study for this <br /> position, completed by Springsted, Inc. <br /> Adopted this 8th day of May, 2017. <br /> 41/Az <br /> Carol A.
