RESOLUTION NO. 8738 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING SEVERANCE PAYMENT TO <br /> JOHN HUGHES, PUBLIC WORKS COMMUNITY CENTER CUSTODIAN <br /> WHEREAS, John Hughes submitted his resignation and his last day of employment <br /> was March 9, 2017; and <br /> WHEREAS, in accordance to the Public Works Collective Bargaining Unit <br /> Agreement, Mr. Hughes has 650.0 eligible sick hours to be placed into his Retirement <br /> Health Savings Plan (RHSP); and <br /> WHEREAS, the balance of accrued and unused vacation is 46.51 hours; and <br /> WHEREAS, John Hughes's current rate of pay is $24.35 per hour; and <br /> WHEREAS, in accordance with the Public Works Collective Bargaining Unit <br /> Agreement, the maximum potential payout of his eligible sick time is 650.0 x 50% x his <br /> hourly rate of $24.35 = $7,913.75; and <br /> WHEREAS, in accordance with Public Works Collective Bargaining Unit Agreement, <br /> the maximum potential cash payout of accrued/unused vacation time will be 46.51 hours x <br /> his hourly rate of$24.35 = $1,132.51. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council <br /> approves a one-time payout of sick time not to exceed $7,913.75 into John Hughes' RHSP <br /> in accordance with the Public Works Collective Bargaining Unit Agreement. <br /> NOW, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council approves a <br /> one-time cash payout of vacation time not to exceed $1,132.51 in accordance with the <br /> Public Works Collective Bargaining Unit Agreement. <br /> Adopted this 27th day of March, 2017. <br /> ilf141.A1- - <br /> Carol A.
