RESOLUTION 8704 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> AUTHORIZING ENTRY INTO A JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT WITH COON RAPIDS <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View performs routine street maintenance including crack sealing <br /> and seal coating; and <br /> WHEREAS, a Joint Powers Agreement exists whereby 10 north metro cities contract to perform <br /> routine street maintenance under one contract; and <br /> WHEREAS, Mounds View can join this Joint Powers Agreement upon approval of the City <br /> Councils of Mounds View and Coon Rapids; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View would realize a savings in staff effort by becoming part of <br /> the Joint Powers Agreement; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Coon Rapids will be advertising for the street maintenance contract in late <br /> February; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View can take advantage of this arrangement for the 2017 Seal <br /> Coat Project. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, Ramsey <br /> County, Minnesota as follows: <br /> 1. The City Council authorizes Mounds View's entry into a Joint Powers Agreement with Coon Rapids. <br /> 2. Upon satisfactory review of the Joint Powers Agreement by the City Attorney, the Mayor and City <br /> Administrator are hereby authorized and directed, for and on behalf of the City, to execute and enter <br /> into said Joint Powers Agreement. <br /> 3. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to execute all appropriate <br /> documents to effectuate the actions contemplated by this Resolution. <br /> 4. The Mayor, City Administrator and staff are hereby authorized and directed to take any and all <br /> additional steps and actions necessary or convenient in order to accomplish the intent of this <br /> Resolution. <br /> Adopted this 13th day of February, 2017 <br /> Carol A.
