RESOLUTION 8712 CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF TWO (2) 2017 F150 SERVICE PICKUP TRUCKS WHEREAS, the City has pickup trucks that are utilized for the Public Works Department to perform necessary maintenance, and; WHEREAS, the City Council understands the need for Public Works to properly operate various tasks such as water main breaks, storm debris pick up and inspections in a timely manner and; WHEREAS, the Public Works Staff has been using a 2004 Ford 150 truck, unit#438 that is currently assigned to the Engineering Department, and the Water Department has a 2002 F150 unit#704 with a utility box; and, WHEREAS, Public Works Staff has received quote off the State of Minnesota Cooperative Purchasing Venture from Midway Ford of Roseville MN for two F150 super cabs at cost of $59,409.52; and, WHEREAS, Public Works Staff has received a quote off the State of Minnesota Cooperative Purchasing Venture from Crysteel Equipment of Fridley MN for tools boxes and back racks with options for a total cost of$2,967.58; and, WHEREAS, the replacement of these vehicles is in the 2017 Budget to be taken from the Vehicle and Equipment fund (460-4470-7040) for $34,000, and the Water Fund account (700-4823-7030) for$35,000.00 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: 1. The City hereby accepts the quote of $59,409.52 submitted by Midway Ford of Roseville MN not including sales tax or license fees. 2. The City hereby accepts the quote of $2,967.58 submitted by Crysteel Equipment of Fridley MN not including sales tax. 3. The City Council approves placing units#438 and #304 on auction.
