RESOLUTION 8712 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF TWO (2) 2017 F150 SERVICE PICKUP TRUCKS <br /> WHEREAS, the City has pickup trucks that are utilized for the Public Works Department <br /> to perform necessary maintenance, and; <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council understands the need for Public Works to properly operate <br /> various tasks such as water main breaks, storm debris pick up and inspections in a timely <br /> manner and; <br /> WHEREAS, the Public Works Staff has been using a 2004 Ford 150 truck, unit#438 that <br /> is currently assigned to the Engineering Department, and the Water Department has a 2002 F150 <br /> unit#704 with a utility box; and, <br /> WHEREAS, Public Works Staff has received quote off the State of Minnesota <br /> Cooperative Purchasing Venture from Midway Ford of Roseville MN for two F150 super cabs at <br /> cost of $59,409.52; and, <br /> WHEREAS, Public Works Staff has received a quote off the State of Minnesota <br /> Cooperative Purchasing Venture from Crysteel Equipment of Fridley MN for tools boxes and <br /> back racks with options for a total cost of$2,967.58; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the replacement of these vehicles is in the 2017 Budget to be taken from <br /> the Vehicle and Equipment fund (460-4470-7040) for $34,000, and the Water Fund account <br /> (700-4823-7030) for$35,000.00 <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, <br /> Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br /> 1. The City hereby accepts the quote of $59,409.52 submitted by Midway Ford of <br /> Roseville MN not including sales tax or license fees. <br /> 2. The City hereby accepts the quote of $2,967.58 submitted by Crysteel Equipment of <br /> Fridley MN not including sales tax. <br /> 3.
