RESOLUTION NO. 8701 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> APPROVING THE HIRE OF MICHAEL RICHIE <br /> TO THE POSITION OF <br /> PROJECT COORDINATOR <br /> WHEREAS,upon direction from the Mounds View City Council, the Project Coordinator <br /> position was advertised; and <br /> WHEREAS, Staff interviewed four (4) qualified candidates and conducted second <br /> interviews on two (2) candidates; and <br /> WHEREAS, Michael Richie's skills and experience were determined to most closely <br /> match the duties and responsibilities as outlined in the job description; and <br /> WHEREAS, Mr. Richie would start at Step 1 of the Pay Scale at $26.34/hour; with an <br /> increase to Step 1.5 of the salary range (currently$27.16/hour) after 6 months of employment; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, all step wage increases are subject to satisfactory performance evaluations; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, background checks on Mr. Richie are incomplete, and therefore, hiring <br /> would be contingent on satisfactory background and reference checks; and <br /> WHEREAS, Mr. Richie would begin employment on or about January 30, 2017. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council appoints <br /> Michael Richie to the position of Project Coordinator in the Public Works Department, contingent <br /> on satisfactory background and reference checks, with employment to commence on or about <br /> January 30, 2017. <br /> BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the City Council does hereby approve the hire of <br /> Michael Richie to the full-time, non-exempt, non-union position of Project Coordinator at Step 1 <br /> of the pay scale (currently $26.34/hour). <br /> Adopted this 23rd day of January, 2017. <br /> ,&t/e4e6?1 <br /> Carol A.
