RESOLUTION NO. 8667 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> A RESOLUTION ADOPTING A MINNESOTA GOVERNMENT DATA <br /> PRACTICES ACT POLICY AND DESIGNATING THE RESPONSIBLE <br /> AUTHORITY AND COMPLIANCE OFFICIAL <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View ("City") needs to update its policy concerning <br /> its procedures and obligations pursuant to the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act <br /> (Minnesota Statutes Chapter 13) ("MGDPA"); and <br /> WHEREAS, the MGDPA, Minnesota Statutes Section 13.02, subdivision 16 and <br /> the MGDPA policy to be adopted by the City requires it to designate the individual <br /> responsible for the collection, use, and dissemination of any set of data on individuals, <br /> government data, or summary data (the "Responsible Authority") for the City; and <br /> WHEREAS, the MGDPA, Minnesota Statutes Section 13.05, subdivision 13 and <br /> the MGDPA policy to be adopted by the City also requires it to designate the individual <br /> responsible for persons to direct questions or concerns regarding problems in obtaining <br /> access to data or other data practices problems for the City (the "Compliance Official"); <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the City would like to officially designate its Responsible Authority <br /> and Compliance Official. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds <br /> View, Minnesota, as follows: <br /> 1. The updated document entitled "Minnesota Government Data Practices Act <br /> Guidelines and Procedures" is hereby adopted as the City's official MGDPA <br /> policy. <br /> 2. The City Administrator is hereby designated as the Responsible Authority <br /> for the purposes of the MGDPA and the City's MGDPA policy. <br /> 3. The City Administrator is hereby designated as the Compliance Official for <br /> the purposes of the MGDPA and the City's MGDPA policy. <br /> 1 <br /> 490278v1 DTAMU125-11 <br />
