RESOLUTION NO. 8678 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF BODY WORN CAMERAS AND <br /> RELATED PERIPHERAL EQUIPMENT <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council reviewed and approved the quotes for the purchase of <br /> body worn cameras and related equipment at its work session on December 5, 2016; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the Mounds View Police Department has tested various Body Worn <br /> Camera systems and determined Watchguard the be the best value and fits the <br /> operational needs of the agency; and <br /> WHEREAS, Body Worn Cameras serve law enforcement and the public, by <br /> accurately documenting police encounters, preserving evidence, increasing public trust. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> MOUNDS VIEW THAT the City Council approves the purchase of five (5) Body Worn <br /> Cameras and related equipment from Watchguard in the amount of$5585, with funds paid <br /> from Account # 225-4200-1230. <br /> Adopted this 12th day of December 2016. <br /> ,,e-- X- / -,2____________/oe Flaherty;1Mayor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> (12A,ii'vuL6 g/17--tAA-- -7---1 <br /> James Ericson, City Administrator <br /> (seal) <br />
