RESOLUTION 8653 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> ACCEPT IMPROVEMENTS AND APPROVE FINAL PAYMENT FOR THE MUSTANG DRIVE <br /> PAVEMENT REHABILITATION AND DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Resolution 8347 on December 8, 2014, authorizing the <br /> preparation of a feasibility report for the Mustang Drive Pavement Rehabilitation and Drainage <br /> Improvement Project (the Project); and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Resolution 8399 on April 27, 2015, authorizing Stantec <br /> Consulting Services, Inc. (Stantec) to complete plans and specifications for the Project; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Resolution 8416 on May 11, 2015, approving the plans <br /> and specifications completed by Stantec and authorizing advertisement for bids; and, <br /> WHEREAS, a bid opening was conducted on June 8, 2015 and 4 sealed bids were received <br /> ranging from $433,916.56 to $517,702.00 for construction of the Project, with the lowest responsive <br /> bid submitted by Hardrives, Inc. of Rogers, Minnesota; and, <br /> WHEREAS, Hardrives, Inc. has successfully completed all project construction and met all <br /> other contract requirements for the Project with a substantial completion date of November 1, 2016 <br /> and final completion of June 1, 2016 and a final construction cost of$373,092.69; and <br /> WHEREAS, City staff and its engineering consultant, Stantec, recommend accepting the <br /> completed construction work and issuing final payment for $27,039.71 to Hardrives, Inc. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, <br /> Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br /> 1. All work completed under the contract between the City and Hardrives, Inc. for construction of <br /> the Mustang Drive Pavement Rehabilitation and Drainage Improvement Project is hereby <br /> accepted and approved. <br /> 2.
