RESOLUTION 8662 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING A HONEYBEE KEEPING LICENSE TO <br /> MIA HANSON, 2228 LAMBERT AVENUE <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council passed Ordinance 908, which amended Chapter <br /> 701 of the City Code to provide for the keeping of bee hives on properties zoned R-1, <br /> Single Family Residential; and, <br /> WHEREAS, in accordance with Ordinance 908, initial applications shall be <br /> considered by the City Council after holding a public hearing on the matter; and <br /> WHEREAS, Mia Hanson submitted a license application and fees to keep and <br /> raise honeybees on her property located at 2228 Lambert Avenue; and, <br /> WHEREAS, Staff has reviewed Ms. Hanson's application; and <br /> WHEREAS, this license is contingent on receiving proof of training in Honeybee <br /> Keeping; and <br /> WHEREAS, this license is valid indefinitely so long as the hives are operated <br /> continuously; and <br /> WHEREAS, this license may be revoked or denied by the City Council based on <br /> negligence or nuisance. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, THAT the Mounds View City Council <br /> does hereby approve a license for the keeping and raising of honeybees to Mia Hanson <br /> on her property located at 2228 Lambert Avenue contingent on receiving proof of <br /> training in Honeybee Keeping. <br /> Ado,ilted this 14th day of November, 2016. <br /> oe Flaherty, Mayor <br /> ATTEST: C)7A-M6.& <br /> James Ericson, City Administrator <br /> (seal) <br />
